Muskegon Community College – A fully-accredited two-year associate degree granting institution located within the City of Muskegon. MCC offers two degree programs as well as several diploma, certificate and professional development credit programs. Several four-year state universities – including Grand Valley, Western Michigan and Ferris State – also offer classes on the MCC campus.

Baker College – A four-year private college offering a full array of certificates as well as associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs. Specialty program offerings include Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Aviation, Surgical Technology, Veterinary Technician, Culinary Arts, Computer Networking (Microsoft and Cisco), Graphic Communications, Human Resources Management, Radiologic Technology, Paralegal, Interpreter Training (American Sign Language), Interior Design, and Teacher Preparation.
Grand Valley State University – With a main campus located just 18 miles from Muskegon, GVSU is one of Michigan’s premier state universities with an enrollment of 24,000 students. GVSU offers a wide spectrum of majors and academic programs. The university offers numerous classes at the Muskegon Community College campus in Muskegon. Also, two major GVSU facilities are located in downtown Muskegon:
