Enjoy Muskegon's Numerous Golf Courses
The Winter Sports Complex provides fun in the snow with a lighted ice rink, groomed cross country trails, and one of only four luge runs in the country. Spring brings the Trillium Festival at Hoffmaster State Park and leads to summer’s abundant water sports: boating, swimming, sailing, fishing, and many more. Finally, the fall provides a splendid background of colors for a variety of activities including golf on one of the dozen-plus courses in the area and sunbathing on the many miles of beaches.

Pere Marquette Beach
Muskegon’s Pere Marquette Beach has received the Certified Blue Wave Clean Beach Award by the
Clean Beaches Council five consecutive years; it’s the only beach in Michigan to achieve this award. The sugar sand beach has become one of the most popular windsport venues in the Midwest.

Sailing & Boating: Muskegon boasts two yacht clubs, 9 marinas and 8 public launch ramps. A deep-water channel connects Lake Michigan to Muskegon Lake (4,149 acres) giving boaters the option big lake or small lake sailing at all times.
Fishing: Muskegon is home to the finest freshwater fishing in America. On the big lake salmon and lake trout are king while smaller Muskegon Lake offers superb walleye and pike fishing. Boat launch ramps are conveniently located providing easy access for fishermen.

Lake Michigan Fishing
Camping: Muskegon is home to two state parks fronting Lake Michigan. In addition, Fisherman’s Landing near downtown provides excellent camping and boat launch facilities.
Biking: Muskegon has more than twenty miles of bike trails winding along the city’s spectacular waterfront. Muskegon’s bike trails link to hundreds more of miles of trails throughout West Michigan.
Professional Sports: Muskegon Lumberjack Pro Hockey and Muskegon Thunder Indoor Football are among the featured events at the 5,000 seat Walker Arena in downtown Muskegon.
